This portfolio presents my expert experience in the transformation of large commercial and corporate spaces, gained during my work within the structure of ECE-Projectmanagement, GmbH. My responsibilities cover the entire process – from conceptual design and strategic cost management to detailed execution and complex coordination of stakeholders. A key focus in my work is the application of the Design-to-Cost methodology, which ensures achieving an impressive vision and high functionality within the predefined budget.

Projects in Germany

Milaneo, Stuttgart – Development of a large-scale mixed-use complex

This is one of the most complex projects in my portfolio, requiring nearly a year and a half of intensive design and close collaboration within a large team of specialists.

Focus: Development of the interior design of a shopping center with an area of 43,000 sq.m., taking into account the functional connections with the other buildings in the complex.
Responsibilities: During the design phase, a key task was the drastic optimization of the budget while preserving the original visual concept and spatial quality. My involvement included optimization of structural and decorative elements in common areas, conceptual design of specific zones, material research, and organization of samples. Preparation of tender documentation and working drawings, daily coordination of designers and contractors, organizing meetings with the client to clarify requirements and confirm materials and schedules.
Budget: initial interior budget of €16,000,000 reduced to €7,000,000.

PEP Einkaufs-Center, Munich – Modernization and visual development

The project focuses on the complete renovation of retail spaces to enhance the customer experience.

Focus: New relaxation areas, innovative acoustic ceiling design, custom lighting, flooring, and architectural cladding.
Responsibilities: Implementation of the conceptual design through the “design to cost” methodology. Preparation of full tender documentation, coordination with architectural lighting consultants, and material selection. The project stood out with complex coordination due to the involvement of multiple investors.
Value: €3,500,000

Aquis Plaza, Aachen – New construction of a shopping center

Development of a large regional center (29,000 m2) with a signature food court area of 2,000 m2.

Focus: Adaptation of the conceptual design and development of working drawings for flooring, ceilings, cladding, lighting, and branding.
Responsibilities: Preparation of tender documentation and contractor selection. The project is distinguished by complex detailing driven by the organic architectural form and the integration of elements with architectural heritage status.

Phoenix-Center, Hamburg – Renewal of the retail environment

Focus: Implementation of a completely new food court area (600 m2) and revision of the mall’s common areas.
Responsibilities: Execution of the conceptual design, preparation of tender documentation, and management of contractor selection. Direct construction supervision and quality control during execution.
Value: €600,000

Gesundbrunnen-Center, Berlin – Redesign and modernization

Complete reconstruction and rebranding of the food court area and all relaxation spaces.

Activities: Introduction of innovative and sustainable materials, tested and verified through sample mock-ups.
Responsibilities: Detailed material specification and ongoing communication with center management and engineering teams for approval of final details.
Value: €800,000

Königsbau Passagen, Stuttgart – Development of a food court

Focus: Creation of a food court with 400 seats and 14 food retail units.
Challenges: Design under tight deadlines and complex details related to fire safety and integration of installations in high-ceiling spaces.

International projects and strategic development

Marmara Park, Istanbul & Mall of Split, Croatia

Marmara Park: Interior design of a 200,000 m2 facility. Optimization of conceptual façade and entrance designs under extremely tight deadlines.
Mall of Split: Development of a conceptual design for a 60,000 m2 shopping center for an external investor. Concepts for flooring, lighting, furniture, and branding.

Projects in Bulgaria within the teams of ECE Projectmanagement, Bulgaria

Serdica Offices, Sofia – new construction

Project focus: office space of 28,500 sq.m. with 1,600 parking spaces; opened in 2011; certified under DGNB.
Main responsibilities: design of entrance areas and outdoor spaces, as well as wayfinding and signage; design of the center management office; supervision of the office building during construction works and preparation of defect lists; control of execution methods and quality.

Serdica Center – construction of a new shopping center

Project focus: development of a shopping center with a total built-up area of 180,000 sq.m., completed and opened in 2010.
Main responsibilities: conceptual design, preparation of tender documentation; tender procedures and contractor selection; budget control; supervision of working drawings and coordination of designers; supervision of construction activities on site; archiving of architectural documentation.

Europa Center, Sofia

Focus: design of interior and architectural details of a new shopping center – part of a large multifunctional complex (70,000 m2).
Responsibilities: preparation of design concept, presentation to investors, engineers, and other project participants. Optimization of structural elements and preparation of conceptual drawings and tender documentation.
